Delivering an Immersive Branded Experience for MongoDB.local London

OBJECTIVE

MongoDB.local London brought together developers, technology leaders and industry professionals for a day of learning, networking and innovation. Following the event’s move to a new venue, MongoDB sought to create a fully immersive branded experience that would transform the space and deliver a smooth attendee journey.

Having supported the event over multiple years, Encore was appointed to provide full event production alongside the design and build of the exhibition and branded environments. The objective was to create a visually impactful conference experience that reflected MongoDB’s evolving brand identity, while delivering a premium exhibition space that encouraged engagement, showcased partner activations and supported the wider event programme.

SOLUTION

A key focus for the event was the development of a more innovative and visually impactful stage design. To achieve this, Encore introduced a striking scenic concept featuring suspended LED pendant elements and dynamic lighting that created depth and movement throughout the conference programme. The stage design incorporated 328 Absen LED panels, configured as two 7m x 5m main screens with four 3m x 1m LED totems positioned at the rear of the stage, creating a modern presentation environment for keynote sessions and content delivery throughout the day.

Alongside the main stage production, Encore implemented branding across a wide range of attendee touchpoints throughout the venue. From arrival areas and wayfinding through to exhibition spaces and feature branding installations, every element was designed to create a cohesive MongoDB experience and reinforce the event identity.

At the centre of the exhibition was a bespoke MongoDB feature booth incorporating multiple demonstration areas and a dedicated «Ask the Experts» space designed to encourage interaction and engagement. Premium partner lounges and podcast spaces were developed using a consistent design language, creating a welcoming environment that supported networking, collaboration and content creation.

In addition, Encore designed and delivered 15 partner demonstration pods and hackathon stations, moving away from traditional exhibition stand formats in favour of contemporary kiosk-inspired structures that encouraged exploration and participation.

By combining creative design, technical expertise and a deep understanding of the event, Encore successfully realised MongoDB’s vision while creating an engaging and memorable experience for attendees.
