Gala Dinner at London Hilton on Park Lane

OBJECTIVE

Celebrating its seventh year, Back to the Floor by Hospitality Action is a flagship fundraising event that brings together some of the hospitality industry’s most influential leaders for an evening of giving back. The 2026 edition welcomed over 600 guests to London Hilton on Park Lane, where senior figures stepped out of the boardroom and onto the restaurant floor to personally serve attendees.

Encore returned as the in-house production provider for the second consecutive year, following the previous event at Park Plaza Westminster. The client’s primary requirement was to deliver a refined yet impactful gala dinner environment, inspired by the previous event while elevating the overall experience to suit the new venue. The production needed to complement the hotel’s operational flow, support a large-scale dining experience, and create a visually engaging setting for both fundraising and hospitality.

SOLUTION

Building on our experience from the previous event and extensive knowledge of London Hilton on Park Lane, we developed a production approach tailored to the venue. The team implemented a proven setup that balanced technical excellence with the practical demands of a live hospitality environment.

At the heart of the room was a bespoke 10m x 3m stage, designed to provide strong visibility across the space while integrating seamlessly into the gala dinner format. The staging supported speeches and key moments throughout the evening without disrupting service flow. To enhance the atmosphere, we introduced scenic and lighting elements, including star cloth and carefully positioned lighting fixtures. These additions elevated the visual impact of the room, creating a sense of occasion while maintaining elegance appropriate for a high-profile fundraising dinner.

The transition from the previous venue required careful planning and internal coordination. Drawing on prior experience at Park Plaza Westminster, the team ensured a smooth handover of knowledge and adapted the design to suit the unique layout and operational needs of London Hilton on Park Lane. This flexible, venue-specific approach allowed the production to feel bespoke while remaining efficient and reliable.

RESULT

The event was a resounding success, raising a record-breaking £405,000 for Hospitality Action. The evening not only delivered an exceptional guest experience but also reinforced the spirit of community and generosity at the heart of the hospitality industry.

From a production perspective, the seamless integration of staging, lighting and event flow contributed to a polished and professional environment that supported both the fundraising objectives and the guest experience. The client expressed strong satisfaction with the outcome, particularly the smooth transition to a new venue and the enhanced visual impact of the event.
