Encore’s ‘Transformation Takes Flight’ experience at IMEX Frankfurt 2025

For IMEX Frankfurt 2025, our booth embraced the theme ‘Transformation Takes Flight’. Our ambition was to create an immersive experience that enabled meaningful connections with attendees and facilitated high-value conversations with our clients. The theme centred on overcoming obstacles and enhancing event experiences that would guide attendees towards innovation, transformation and engagement.

The booth journey was structured around three key destinations: Innovation, Engagement and Transformation. Each destination featured dedicated Encore team members who guided visitors through the experience, offered tailored insights and created meaningful, solution-led conversations aligned to their specific event objectives.

At the heart of the booth was the Content Cockpit, designed as a dynamic hub for learning and conversation. Intimate educational sessions, led by industry experts, provided practical insights into managing budgets, boosting ROI, navigating sustainability and overcoming adversity. Sessions included Thriving in the AI Era: Non-obvious Ways to Design a People-first AI Strategy, Maximising Production Budgets to Deliver Memorable Messages and Discover the Future of Events: Megatrends and Their Impact, alongside sustainability-focused panels such as People: The Overlooked Pillar of Sustainable Events and Elevating Events Through Sustainable Partnerships: Exploring the ESG Landscape.

Supporting the experience was Encore’s Frequent Flier Experience, delivered through a dedicated digital hub. This platform enabled attendees to connect, schedule meetings, collect miles, check their itinerary and maximise their time at the Encore booth. Opportunities to earn miles were integrated throughout the experience where partners across the exhibition floor displayed QR codes that visitors could scan to obtain points. Additional miles could be earned by booking meetings, making connections and engaging with content. By planning their IMEX journey in advance and building Frequent Flier Miles, attendees could unlock access to the exclusive Encore Executive Lounge, a space designed for relaxation, reflection and thought-provoking discussion with peers and experts.

REALITY

Our booth showcased the latest in event technology. This included a new Absen LED screen, 2.5mm with 500 panels at 200 by 200 pixels, and a translucent Muxwave Lucy screen, 3.91mm with 256 by 256 pixels, which allowed visibility through the panel from the executive lounge. Ghost OLED multi-touch screens provided interactive touchpoints, enabling attendees to explore our solutions first-hand.

Beyond the technology displays, the booth created opportunities to reconnect with global venue partners, engage new clients and demonstrate cutting-edge production capabilities supported by expert consultation. Our Head of Creative Technology, Pete Harding, was present throughout the exhibition, sharing insights into emerging technologies and advising attendees on how innovation can elevate event delivery.

The Chime digital hub guided attendees through personalised journeys, allowing them to select a destination of Innovation, Engagement or Transformation. Each journey curated relevant content, thought leadership sessions and networking opportunities aligned to their interests. A structured points system encouraged deeper engagement across the exhibition, with miles redeemable for access to the executive lounge. The integration of the digital hub strengthened the overall visitor journey and demonstrated how digital tools can enhance meaningful, in-person experiences

OUTCOME

IMEX Frankfurt 2025 successfully delivered an immersive and multi-faceted experience for attendees. By combining education, networking and technology, participants discovered new strategies, connected with peers and experienced innovative solutions in a highly engaging environment.

The Frequent Flier experience and personalised content journeys significantly increased engagement, while the Content Cockpit reinforced Encore’s position as a thought leader within the industry. Feedback consistently highlighted the value of expert-led sessions, interactive technology and the opportunity to explore solutions in direct consultation with specialists.
