Q2 Round-up

Dry Hire & Theatre

As we wrap up another busy quarter, we’re taking a look back at some of the highlights from Dry Hire & Theatre. From celebrating excellence across the theatre industry to supporting exciting productions and preparing for a packed summer and autumn, Q2 has certainly kept us busy.

Celebrating Theatre Excellence at The Profile Awards 2026

One of the standout moments this quarter was attending The Profile Awards 2026, held at Alexandra Palace, where theatre professionals from across the industry came together to celebrate outstanding achievement, creativity and innovation. As proud sponsors of the Outstanding Achievement in Theatre award, we were honoured to be part of an evening recognising the exceptional talent that continues to shape live performance.

Congratulations to Joshua Gadsby for receiving this year’s award for Miss Myrtle’s Garden at Bush Theatre. It was a privilege to see such dedication and outstanding work recognised by industry peers. A special mention also goes to our own Tom Mowat, who had the honour of presenting the award on the evening. Events like these are a fantastic reminder of the creativity, collaboration and passion that drive our industry forward.

Supporting Outstanding Productions

Our theatre team continues to support productions across the UK, and we’re delighted to be providing lighting equipment for the Mean Girls UK Tour.

An incredible production that’s every bit as bold visually as it is on stage, it’s definitely so fetch to be helping bring the show to life night after night.

It’s been fantastic working alongside such a talented creative and production team, including Lighting Designer Kenneth Posner, Associate Lighting Designer Joel Shier, Lighting Programmer Vic Programming, and Production Electrician Tom Youings.

We’re also proud to see equipment from Martin ProfessionalETC (Electronic Theatre Controls)Chroma-QLuminex Network Intelligence, and Prolyte playing its part in delivering this spectacular production.

Continued Investment in Dry Hire Stock

Alongside supporting productions and industry events, Q2 has also seen a significant focus on strengthening and future-proofing our dry hire inventory. We have continued to invest in expanding capacity across our product ranges, ensuring we can meet growing demand while maintaining reliability and consistency for productions of all sizes.

Rather than focusing on short-lived or headline-grabbing additions, this investment has been centred on long-term usability, serviceability and sustainability. We are working closely with manufacturers who actively support extended product lifecycles and ongoing maintenance. This approach helps reduce waste, extend equipment lifespan and ensures our stock remains production ready for years to come.

Key additions this quarter include:

  • 110x ETC Source 4 LED Series 2
  • 46x ETC Source 4 LED Series 3
  • 4x ETC Eos Apex Processor
  • 4x ETC Gio @5
  • 8x ETC ION Xe
  • 10x Le Maitre MVS Hazer
  • 10x Look Solutions Unique 2.1 Hazers
  • 50x Martin MAC Aura PXL

This continued reinvestment reflects a deliberate focus on sustainability through longevity, choosing manufacturers and platforms that allow us to maintain, upgrade and keep equipment in circulation for longer rather than replacing it prematurely. It is an approach that supports both environmental responsibility and the practical demands of busy production schedules.
