Radisson Live, Edition II
We collaborated closely with our client Radisson Hotel Group to deliver the second edition of RADISSON LIVE that took place alongside IMEX Frankfurt 2022. 180 VIP guests were expected for a very unique evening gala event, that should position RHG as the leading brand in Meeting & Events.
Line of business: Hotel Meeting & Events
We Delivered: Technical Execution
Following the highly successful launch of RADISSON LIVE in 2021, the client raised the bar and set the highest expectations with the second edition. The aim was to create a truly immersive event experience that showcases the best of RHG’s M&E capabilities, raise awareness of their focus hotels and new openings, re-connect with their key customers after the pandemic, and to connect the audience with inspiring speakers and content delivered in a visually spectacular way that stimulates the senses.
Inspired by the Van Gogh Alive exhibition, the world’s most visited immersive multi-sensory experience, our aim was to transform the ballroom at Radisson Blu, Frankfurt, into an immersive space.
The ballroom was equipped with a mammoth 270-degree LED wall that immersed the guests in the spectacular Radisson content – giving the audience the feeling of being part of the production instead of just spectators. The content thus became a lasting all-round experience for the audience, who experienced real goosebump moments.
Through our combined digital and production services, we were able to support Radisson Hotel Group from the planning right through to the implementation of the event. To connect the exceptional network of industry peers and to add more interaction to the event experience following 2021 feedback. We used our own Chime Go Agenda to provide a sustainable, paperless agenda accessible at the attendees’ fingertips and to facilitate the submission of questions via the platform to interact with the speakers.

A 270 degree LED wall was installed in the main ballroom of the Radisson Blu Frankfurt, this consisted of 3 parts which were connected by curved corners to one big wall. The LED wall was made up of 800 LED panels with 2.9 mm pixel pitch- the total resolution was 16K. A media server and a seamless switcher were used for signal distribution.
The sound was set up as 360 degree sound reinforcement and PA boxes were installed in the truss construction of the LED wall, as well as additional boxes and subwoofers in front of the stage. A total of 12 headsets and 2 handhelds were used and the speakers on stage had a preview monitor and telepromter monitors at their disposal.
The light setup was achieved with moving light (spot lamps and wash lamps) which allowed illumination of the ceiling to enhance the effect of the LED wall and the content.
The stage was specially adapted for the dance performances and the event and was built as a floor construction with a slightly mirrored floor to enhance the LED wall effect.
The event was recorded with 2 manned cameras and 2 remote cameras for the client in 4K quality. The camera feed was partially shown on the LED wall.
